Book Worm

Books.
Oh how I love books.
I love reading.
There's nothing like getting lost and caught up in a story, in another world, that's not your own.
Sadly within the last year or so I haven't made much time for it. I've let life and other things get in the way. However one of this years resolutions (yes I made a resolution) is to read more again.
However my favorite place and time to read is on a sailboat while sailing.
In the Summer.
In the sun.
None of which are accessible right now.
So this is most inconvenient.

[The above picture is part of my vintage/antique blue book collection. It makes me happy.]

P.s. It's March already???

Its A Blustery Day

I love super windy days.
I also love thunderstorms.
And really, any overly dramatic weather that cannot go ignored because it's just screaming at you to pay attention to it.
It altogether makes me want to both do something adventurous and at the same time just lie in bed and look out the window watching it.

Maybe I'll do both.

A List

Just because I like making lists.

1. Was able to go into one of the coolest thrift stores ever today and resisted buying ANYTHING! This is quite the accomplishment for me. (The fact that I will be returning to said thrift store within the very near future and possibly making a few purchases is beside the point)

2. I may or may not have consumed several packets of Sixlets, a handful of Robin's Eggs, Twizzlers and half a box of Nerds (I'm talking the big 6oz box) within the span of only a few hours recently....

3. I love the 3 L's

4. I have to delete Urban Outfitters emails immediately without opening them because the temptation is just too great...

5. Voicemails make me happy.

6. I am currently listening to Your Song by Ellie Goulding.

7. I've been here about 4 times now and it's one of my favoritest places.

8. I pretty much can't express in enough words how badly I want Summer to be here. Cliche? I do not care.

Today's Happiness

Today's happiness equates to:

1. Wearing cowboy boots
2. Reading Eat Pray Love while listening to Jens Lekman
3. Buying a new book for fifty cents
4. Eating yogurt and granola
5. Crocheting while watching random tv episodes on Hulu
6. Styling my hair like a swedish girls
7. Catching up with a best friend
8. Writing things on my calendar to look forward to
9. Smelling the flowers on my desk that my Dad gave me for Valentines Day
10. Reading Zephaniah 3:17

Etsy

So I've wanted to open up an Etsy shop for a couple years now, but I've just procrastinated and procrastinated and I haven't gotten around to it.
This year I am finally getting around to it.
I have been making things like crazy, and as soon as I can complete the 37 things on the To Do list to make this thing happen, I will be in business.
Keep checking back because I will have updates and such as to when it will be open, and new items I list and stuff like that. Also I plan on doing a give away or two here, so keep an eye out!
And I will also be donating a portion of my sales to the A-21 Campaign to support victims of human trafficking. Check out the link for more info.

Wedding's Make Me Happy

It's true. Wedding's make me happy.

Of course probably any girl over the age of.. well.. of any age, will tell you this. And if she tries to tell you otherwise, she's lying and is in fact bitter and resentful because she wants nothing more then to be married and have a wedding herself, but can't have one because she hasn't found "the one".

Anyway.

I like thinking about what my wedding will be like, and I actually have a little folder of pictures saved on my desktop of pictures I find that I like, or are inspirational.
Is this dorky/embarrassing/weird/sad/cheesy of me?
Maybe a little bit.
But I don't care, I love dreaming about what that day will be like, it's one of the most important days in ones life and I like to look forward to big and exciting, important things. And dreaming about them.

To end this little nonsensical post I will now share some pictures from the above mentioned folder.
(I can't give credit to where credit's due because I get these from all over sooo... hopefully no one's offended.)

I love weddings.

Blanket Forts

When you were little did you make forts?
Me and my brothers made them all the time.
Out of blankets, pillows, sheets, cardboard boxes.
Forts were the best.

And I was thinking the other day (after stumbling across some pictures of some super cool blanket forts) how much I miss doing those sorts of things.
Cliche as it is, I miss being little when doing things like building forts, running around outside pretending to be a spy on a top secret mission, or traversing through creeks to find hidden treasure, was socially except-able and age appropriate...

However I've decided that I'm going to start building blanket forts again anyway.
In fact when I get married I fully intend to build forts and make my husband live in them with me.
And then when I have kids I'll build them all the time.
There. Problem solved.

(More cool forts via Rockstar Diaries, Bleubird and Google.)
