Yesterday

Yesterday was a good day because:

1. I treated myself to a relaxing lunch at Panera (the Sierra turkey sandwich to be exact. It's my favorite) and got to sit and read and have some me time.

2. I wore my Beirut t-shirt that I got at the concert the other night (post forthcoming) and the lady at the register at Panera liked it and had a mutual love for Beirut and we had a nice conversation about it. I love friendly people.

3. Work was really easy and went smoothly and stress free

4. I got two pairs of shoes for $25.
Now someone invite me to go out and dance or go to a fancy party or something.

5. I got to catch up with three of my best friends and we had a really great time together (british accents may have been involved)

6. I had chinese food for dinner (Thank you China Max)

7. I drove around all day with the windows down

8. I went to goodwill and found exactly what I need for my Halloween costume (plus two super cute skirts)

9. I finished several custom order cowls. Yay productivity!

10. Seeing all the pretty fall leaves change colors makes me happy.

What was good about your yesterday?

Boston: Part 1

Over the weekend I took a little trip to Boston to visit some friends (who are very talented, one makes jewelry and the other is a web/application designer). It was my first time in Beantown and it was a wonderful first impression. I'd been looking forward to this trip for a few months, and I'm quite sad it's over now.
This is the first of two posts because there are a lot of pictures!
Here are some of my favorite highlights from the first two days....

  My first cannoli
Giant laptops??
These tetris looking things were on several lamp posts at one intersection. Someones version of yarn bombing maybe?
Good BLT's
Lamont Library at Harvard. If you whisper into one end of the arch you can hear it in the other!
A little trip to Urban Outfitters of course
What's wrong with this picture?
The leaves are changing color!

More to come!

Greetings From Boston

Hello everyone!
I'm having a lovely time in Boston. Just thought I'd pop in here and say hi just to let you know I haven't disappeared off the face of the earth (I've had some complaints). I'll be back soon with the new updates I promised, and some new pictures to share too of course.
Hope you are having a marvelous weekend.

Anna

Meet Anna.

I had the privilege recently of taking this beautiful girls senior pictures
To answer your question: Yes.
She really is that pretty in person.
Ridiculous right?
I loved Anna's vision for the photoshoot, casually classy and "elegantly english" as she put it.
Also Audrey Hepburn, a mutual favorite actress, was also an inspiration of hers. This small fact alone made us bond marvelously. The ballerina theme she came up with was also a favorite. I mean how gorgeous is she in that dress?
(We also share a mutual love for dresses. I loved all the dresses she had for the shoot, not all of which even we used)
Anna has such a beautiful smile which makes an appearance easily, and I love that about her.
I never had to tell her to smile.
And she had lots of fun and creative ideas of her own for pictures which, as I've mentioned before, is always helpful .
It's always more fun bouncing ideas off each other than just telling someone what to do.
We had a lovely time though.
We found a little friend too

Long Time No See

Well hello there.
So I have admittedly been a bit absent from the virtual world as of late. It was a crazy weekend and beginning of the week (read: it's really hard to do things when you're sick and bed ridden from a lack of sleep and doing too much). But I am back! I have a lot to catch up on but I'm getting it done slowly but surely. Some things you can look for this upcoming week.....
A new senior portrait spotlight, a feature on a friends blog (maybe two), and a new article (maybe two) over at From the Runway to RVA featuring some of my photos!
For starters anyway.
We'll see how productive I am.

The craft show went well this past weekend. Thanks so much to everyone who came out (you know who you are) to support and encourage. It meant a lot, and it was great seeing you!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, I have to get back to work now....

Craft Show

So I have the exciting opportunity to be in a craft show this Saturday!
I am so excited.
If you'd like the details and where it's going to be at you can email me at: by.leney@gmail.com
Here's a little preview of just a few things I've been working on for it....
(late into the night, after a long day at work, with gallons of tea and with very little to no sleep)

^My newest invention: The headband/scarf. How fun right?
(Please ignore my silly face...)

Please come out and say hi, I'd love to see you!

10% of all proceeds will go to The A21 Campaign, the same as with my Etsy shop.
