Love Is In The Air
Home
Well I'm home from NYC and the IFB Conference!
It was a great few days and I have so much to share with you all.
But I have quite a few things to catch up on so until I can post photos and such, here are some instagrams from the trip to tide you over...
Also, I am excited to be featured over on Sherri's blog today! Go check it out.
IFB
I was hoping to post this a bit sooner but it kept slipping my mind...
I wanted to announce that I am headed off to the Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference in New York City today!
I am very excited, it will be my first time attending and I am, of course, thrilled to have an excuse to visit one of my favorite cities again so soon.
I plan on taking lots of pictures (would you expect anything less?) so be sure to check back!

Are you going to the IFB Conference?
Have you been before?
Do share!
NYC: Part 2
Here are the rest of the pictures from my most recent New York City trip!
See part one here.
Our second day of site seeing included visiting the Statue of Liberty, which was a first and on my bucket list of course so it was very neat seeing Miss Lady Liberty.
We also saw Phantom of the Opera on Broadway the next day, which was my second time seeing it. I still loved it just as much as the first time! I get goose bumps every time the chandelier lights up during that first scene and those famous notes written by Andrew Lloyd Webber fill up the room.
Those are pretty much the only touristy sight seeing things we did. The remainder of the trip we shopped and ate lots of yummy food (which I did not take nearly enough pictures of).
And on the way home I got to ride on a train! Which I also had never done.
Crossing that off the 20 List.
It was a great trip and I can't wait to go back again!
New York, it's always a pleasure.
NYC: Part 1
Today I am posting, very belatedly, some photos from my most recent trip to New York City.
I previously shared one of my favorite parts of this past trip, but here are some more for those of you who are interested!
I went shortly before Christmas to enjoy all the New York City Christmas splendor. However,
while it was quite festive, it just didn't feel like Christmas to me. It was as if time had frozen and Christmas was waiting for us back in Richmond. I guess there's just no place like home during the holidays.
Anyway, during our stay we ate at L'asso's which was quite literally the best pizza I had ever eaten. In my life. So go there if you are ever in the area! They make the pizza right in front of you and you can watch it bake in the brick oven.
We also went to the top of the Empire State Building later in the day. I had only ever been to the top of the Rockefeller Center before, at night, so it was fun seeing things from the other side of the city during the day.
However I never need to go again. Too many people and lines. It took forever.
And then of course seeing all the window displays for the holiday season was spectacular. So elaborate and fancy.
The night ended with the tree at the Rockefeller center. Which did not disappoint. Very big and very beautiful. I couldn't help but wonder how long it took them to string all those lights on. Not a branch was uncovered...
And do you see that scarf I'm wearing in the latter half of the pictures?
Yea, I knit that while walking the streets of New York City.
Betcha never done that before!

Outfit Post: New Mexico
This outfit seemed to incorporate a lot of the things I found during my trip to New Mexico last Summer (you can read an article I wrote about it here!) It was unintentional, but once I realized it I figured I had to title the post accordingly.
The striped blazer is actually the mate to this skirt, though I have yet to wear them together. Not sure how crazy that would be.... And then of course the teal beads for my bracelets and arrow head for my necklace came from a flea market outside of Santa Fe. I also found my backpack at another thrift store there and it is one of my absolute favorites. I don't use backpacks much, but when I do I usually choose this one.
Outfit Details:
Dress: Urban Outfitters
Striped Blazer: Thrifted
Jean Vest: Thrifted
Boots: Target
Watch: Michael Kors
Backpack: Thrifted
Luggage Tag: Of The Fountain
Feather: Made by me
Necklaces: Made by me
Bracelets: Handmade, thrifted and vintage

Food Is Love
February is the month of love.
And I wanted to share something my boyfriend and I have a mutual love for.
Food.
We love food.
Especially: junk food.
When we are together 50% of what we do is eat (ok maybe 70%...)
We often wonder why we aren't each 500 pounds.
I'm sure this will catch up to us some day. But for now, we like to enjoy ourselves.
I thought it would be fun to show you just how true this is and take a peek at some of our random/unofficial food related dates.
(Keep in mind this is only a small portion of our eatery adventures.)
Enjoy.
Potato skins
Nacho Mama's
New York Deli
"His" & "Hers" burritos at Qdoba
Auntie Anne's

My favorite candy bar
Lunchables
...........
I know. We're crazy.
Don't judge us.
