Come On Irene

(Yea, I did it)

So here I sit in a Barnes and Noble trying to charge my major electronics and it is a mad house. Every outlet in every corner is taken up by someone, there are children running around pell mell un restrained by parents, and about 1 in every 10 people is probably actually buying something.
Of course I can't really say anything since I'm doing the exact same thing.
They have just announced they are closing the food court entrance of the store.
Attempted crowd control?

I really feel like I can't complain about not having electricity or air conditioning or ice for drinks or anything really when there are people who are used to going without these things all the time....
But since I am blessed to have all of these things, on a fairly regular basis, it is a less than desirable transition going without them....
I am thankful not to have anything flooded or any trees on anything though.
Everything else is fine, other than the electricity and a few (read a lot) of leaves, sticks and branches in the yard.
So that's something to be thankful for.
I'm mostly over everyone freaking out about all these "natural disasters" what with the earthquake and now the hurricane. It's really not even that bad.
(I might be singing a different tune if we don't get power back soon though....)

That's all I have to say. Just was killing some time and thought I'd give you my thoughts on the subject, hypocritical and silly as they may be.

Hope everyone is staying safe!
