Rachel & Matt Rehearsal

As I mentioned last week, I had the amazing opportunity to assist with shooting a wedding a little while ago with this amazingly talented lady.
We had such a blast shooting this rehearsal, I mean how could we not when the rehearsal dinner is on a boat? (And we all know I love boats)
(Side note: Please excuse the excessive amount of sunset photos... And photos of little Paige. Isn't she the cutest? I just couldn't help myself)
Be sure to stay tuned for the wedding photos!

What have you been up to recently?

Dream Job

Found these words via Jessica's blog recently and they've had me thinking a lot.
They're definitely challenging words to say the least.
You have to create your dream job yourself.
I feel like that's what I'm in the process of doing though.
I feel pretty accomplished actually, knowing I'm working on discovering and creating my dream job.
I know there are many people who are not as fortunate as I am in that way.
Who are stuck working jobs they hate or jobs that only pay the bills but don't involve what they truly love doing.
I'm so thankful for the opportunity and time of life I'm in to figure out what exactly my dream job is.
It definitely involves a little bit of this. And this. And even this.
It's not the whole picture yet though.
I'm still figuring it out.
But I'm having a blast doing it.

What's your dream job?

Don't Look Back

Don't Look Back is possibly one of the best new restaurants here in Richmond.
While I've gone several times in the past few months and it is no longer new to me (or to the area) it's taken me awhile to get around to blogging about it!
It's super affordable and cheap (you can get two tacos and chips and salsa for under $10!) but unlike most other affordable food it's actually good.
I mean really good.
My favorite is the pulled chicken taco, flour tortilla, traditional style.
I get it every time.
So delicious.
These photos are kind of a compilation of a couple different times I've gone, but I figured I'd mash them all into one post anyway.
If you live around here and haven't gone yet, you must!

Other restaurant's I've tried since my resolution:

The VMFA

I have talked about the VMFA quite often here on the blog, but I just never get tired of it.
And if you do... well you don't have to read this...

I went with a friend recently and we had quite a lovely time.
Thought I'd share a few pretty pictures.
Enjoy!

The Vans Warped Tour

I had the opportunity to check out The Vans Warped Tour this week with The Gray Haven Project and, of course, I took a couple pictures while I was there!
Just a couple though.
Cause it.was.so.hot.
Too hot to even pull out my camera.
Though most of the music there wasn't really "my jam", as some would say, there was this one band called Skinny Lister that was so fun and quirky.
I loved them.
They had so much energy and you could tell they really loved what they were doing.
One of my friends described their sound as "pirate music".
Gotta love it.
Needless to say they were mostly what I took pictures of.
Oh and that's a picture of Yellowcard at the end.
For all of the five minutes I listened to them...
Did anyone else listen to Ocean Avenue when they were younger?
Don't even try to deny it. You know you did.
(Side note: Please notice the person crowd surfing in the last photo with their legs straight up in the air...)

Friday's Letters

Dear Summer (again),
I feel like time is just flying by and you are almost over. I can hardly believe it. I'm a little torn between excitement for cool weather and sweaters and more knitting and not getting to go to the beach anymore.

Dear Scrambled Egg Breakfast,
You were amazing.
If I do say so myself.
Since I did make you.

Dear Packing,
Why are you always so hard?

Dear Employees at That One 7-11,
Thanks for always being so nice.
Seriously have never come across nicer, sweeter, more friendly people in a gas station before.

Dear Readers,
Sorry for the lack of super interesting posts lately.
I'll get back on the ball again soon!

Dear Thrift Stores Everywhere,
I have not visited one of you in quite a very long time. I have to say I'm quite proud of myself for this diligent abstinence. However, I do dearly miss you.

Dear Joann Fabrics,
Why is it that I always go in to buy one thing but then come out without that one thing but a cartful of extra things??

Dear Weekend,
I hope there's some sleep involved sometime during your stay.

Blue.

...........................

I love the color blue.
It's my favoritest.
When I shop I always gravitate towards blue things... It's a problem.
I even love songs that mention blue things (Like Blue Skies by Noah and The Whale, Blue Suitcase by Erin McCarley, Blue Lips by Regina Spektor...).
What's your favorite color?
