Little Red Riding Hood: Behind The Scenes

So this post is long past due.
It's crazy how time can get away from you!
Goodness.
Anyway, you probably remember the Little Red Riding Hood shoot that I posted last month right?
Well I took a few photos of my own during the shoot, as well as some video, and thought I'd do a little "behind the scenes" post here on the blog today!
Nothing fancy, but kinda fun and silly for this dreary Wednesday we're having.
To be clear, the photos in the linked post above are taken by Stephanie, the photos in this post are taken by me (with the exception of the first photo of me which was taken by James Lee)! You guys seemed to be a little confused about that (probably because you didn't read the text, just looked at the photos, which I can't really blame you for) but I just wanted to clarify.

Once again credit must be given to all of these lovely people!

Photographer: Stephanie Toll of 88 Love Stories
Model: Caitlin Williamson
Makeup: Krista Rose
Wardrobe and Knits: Me

Enjoy!

All pieces in the photos are now available in the shop!

Maddie

Maddie is one of my dearest friends.
We've shared many good times over the years (in fact you may remember her from this post!) and though we live far away from each other now, we still manage to keep up with each other and reunite for thrifting, junk food eating, chick flick watching and all around fun and silliness.
I went to visit her recently and snapped a few photos in between one of our thrifting trips.
Enjoy!
She's beautiful.
I love this girl to pieces.

Ryan Scarberry

Meet Ryan.
He's a talented musician.
One whose music I've sorta kinda been listening to for the past two years now actually!
(He was totally cool when I admitted this too. Not at all creeped out by my fan girling and being all "hey I saw a show you did two years ago and I've loved your music ever since!" At least he was really good at pretending not to be creeped out...)
In all seriousness though he's a great guy who was really nice and laid back and let me have the freedom of taking photos however I wanted to, which was awesome.
I had a lot of fun shooting photos of him and a couple of his friends in their recording studio, which was a new experience for me and one that I hope to have again sometime!
(*Hint hint* to all you musicians out there... Hire me to come take photos of you!)
Enjoy the photos and be sure to check out Ryan's...

Betty's Closet

What the heck is Betty's Closet?
Well, it's the title of a little collaboration I'm going to be doing with my friend Meagan every Friday on her blog!
Outfit posts inspired by vintage, times gone by and the era of Betty White.

So go head over to Meagan's blog to check out more photos!

Q&A

So I thought I'd do a little Q&A here on the blog today!
Cause those are always fun, right?
I actually get a lot of questions from you guys in regards to a whole variety things,
("Are your glasses real?".... "Where do you buy your yarn?".... "Do you actually knit THAT much?")
but I thought it might be fun to have a little open post for any questions you might have!
So ask away.
Post them here in the comments or tweet me at @agirlnamedleney and I'll answer them in a post next week!

I look forward to hearing from you guys!

P.s. Don't forget about the giveaway that's going on right now!

Larissa

Larissa and I have been friends for a while now.
In fact you may remember that I went to NYC with her around this time a year ago!
She's become one of my favorite people to chat with about fashion and big goals and dreams.
There are few people I know that are her age and have more ambition and drive.
She's such an inspiration and I know she's going to do some big things one day!
She asked me to take a few photos for her blog a few weeks ago and I thought I would go ahead and share a few of my favorites with you all.
Isn't she stylish?
(I know, I want those leopard shoes too...)

Freelensing

I tried my hand at freelensing a few months ago and I just came across the photos again.
They're not the best, but I thought I'd share them anyway.
It was super fun to try and though I haven't tried it again since I intend to in the future! It's definitely a lot of fun to mess around with.
I used a different tutorial, but I just came across a good one on A Beautiful Mess and I love their version.
Check it out and let me know if you take a stab at it!

And then I tried to freelense Lewis.
But he was having none of it.
