I have quite a few talented friends.
But this friend in particular is one of the most talented.
Jeremy is a singer and songwriter here in RVA and I just know he's going places.
He really is always amazing me with his heartfelt, brilliant lyrics and catchy melodies.
I think one of my favorite things is hearing him start a new song and getting to hear it's progression over time as he works on it and watching it develop into an awesome piece of art.
Definitely give his stuff a listen.
(And get super stoked for the second album that's coming because it's even more amazing. If that's even possible.)
Also, if you wish, you can see a video from this night here.

Let Love Guide Your Life
"Most of all, let love guide your life"
-Colossians 3:14
In keeping with February's goals, I've been trying to meditate on and remember this.
I have to admit it's been rather hard lately because it's been quite a busy week and I know it's just going to be a busier weekend.
But I think I too often let my stress and busyness and similar such things get in the way of living this out.
So I'm working on it.

My RVA: Libby Hill
Some photos from a little adventuring around Libby Hill Park with my Dad this past fall.
He's where I got my love of
photography from, so it's always fun taking a rangefinder or two (and, okay, our iPhone's too) out with him and experimenting.
These are definitely the best kind of days.
A New York City Birthday
I spent my Birthday in New York City last year.
It was a rather rainy day, which initially was a bit of a dissappointment, but actually turned out alright. I'd never been in New York in the rain, and it showed me a new side of itself that I rather fell in love with.
Had one of my favorite people help me cross off some of this old to do list, and had an all around wonderful Birthday.
Twenty two is turning out to be a splendid year indeed.

Newport News
Took a trip down to Newport News to visit this newly married lady last month, along with another dear friend of mine.
It was the perfect weekend.
Pretty sunsets, late night girl talk, fried food, some succulent admiring, knitting (for me anyway...), window shopping and even a picture perfect breakfast (which tasted as good as it looked).

I just love these two gals heaps and heaps and I only wish we lived closer so we could do this sort of thing more often.

Venture Beneath The Skies
"what is that feeling when you're driving away from people and they recede on the plain till you see their specks dispersing? -it's the too-huge world vaulting us, and it's good-bye. but we lean forward to the next crazy venture beneath the skies." | jack kerouac
Something Only A Knitter Will Understand
The Knitting Queen In Her Element
My friend
shared these photos with me recently and they pretty much encompass my behavior in any yarn store I ever walk into...
She took these during the
trip in
yarn shop.
My friend Meagan dubbed me "The Knitting Queen" some time ago and it's kind of stuck ever since (I may have helped it along... But I mean hey, if I'm going to be the queen of something it should definitely be knitting).
Leah & Anthony | Wedding
Remember these two?
Well here are some favorite shots from their wedding!
This DIY country wedding was just so lovely.
Despite the rainy weather changing a few of the plans in regards to the ceremony, portraits and getaway, the day turned out so beautiful and Leah was nothing short of a breathtaking bride.
Had so much fun celebrating this day with these love birds and their family and friends! Also, a huge thanks to my second shooter Meagan for helping me out as always.
Enjoy the photos!

Erin Nausin Design
Today I wanted to share with you all some lovely cards that were sent to me from the oh so talented girl behind Erin Nausin Design.
Of course they are just perfect with Valentines Day right around the corner and all, so you should definitely think about getting a pack and checking out the rest of her lovely shop!
I was super excited when Erin sent these to me actually because they just so happen to go right along with the theme of my February goals.
I've already written a few notes in some and can't wait to finish up the rest!
