Europe In Photos {Part 3}

What??
I'm finally getting around to sharing the rest of my photos from my trip to Europe?
No.
It can't be!

Yes, yes it's true.
April will be the one year mark of me being back and though that sounds far off, I know that if I don't start sharing the rest of the photos now it just won't happen!
Besides, it was a mini resolution of mine.
Plus I need to share these before I go on any more adventures.
Otherwise I really will never get around to posting them.

These photos are from my third day.
Feel free to read this post so you understand the story behind the photos!

A Winter Wonderland

My friend Meagan and I did a fun wintry shoot the other day when it snowed and since I am still working on my photos of her, I thought I'd share the photos she took of me!
She is one talented lady.
If you're a long time reader you might remember the weddings I shot with her over the Summer, or this photoshoot, or the sweetest ever feature she did of me on her blog, or the photos she took at my Birthday party, or even that she helped me design my logo!
In all honesty she's pretty much become my personal photographer.
Seriously though, she's so very talented and I love her work as well as the sweet, funny and generous person she is! She's taught me a lot in perusing my own photography and I'm so glad we've become friends.
Be sure to check out her new site here!

The Traveling Scarf

I started knitting this scarf on a plane on my way to England last spring.
I knit some of it while I was there, in the house I stayed in, in the coffee shops I went to, on the train I rode to and from Scotland and on the plane home.
And then when I got home from my travels it sat in a basket with many (many) other unfinished projects.
I finally pulled it out a few weeks ago and finished it.
So it took me ten months, but better late than never right?
I love it though.
It reminds me of my travels.
Especially on the train where I sat and knit and gazed out on the beautiful countryside of Scotland.
This scarf will always hold those memories with it.
And, as trivial as that may seem, that's what I love about it.

Thanks for helping me take photos Meagan!

Jimenez Girls Part 1

Meet the Jimenez girls.
These three beauties are, believe it or not, sisters.
I know, I know, how can so much beauty be all in one family right?
It's pretty much unfair.
I've known these lovely girls for a few years now and they've become some of my dearest friends.
I actually even took Cayla's senior portraits!
Oh, and can you tell that Alyssa and Brianna are twins?
Alyssa has the shorter hair, if that helps you tell them apart!
I love each one of them dearly though, and their beauty is not only outward but inward.
Their friendship has meant so much to me over the years and I'm truly so blessed to know them.
We took so many photos on this beautiful winter afternoon that there's going to be another blog post full!
But, for now, here's part one:

Snow Day

We don't get much snow here in Richmond.
When we do, we all kind of freak out about it.
Usually overly so.
Mostly because we hardly ever see it, but also because the weather man always says this is going to be "the big one", in which we will all be stuck in our homes for two weeks and so we better go to Walmart and stock up on eggs and milk as soon as possible.
And it never fails, we always believe him.
Even though he's been saying this for the past twenty years.
It's pretty silly.
Well, it did end up snowing on Thursday, (our first of the winter and of 2013) and it's pretty much all gone now.
Which is fine by me.
I think I have about a month left of liking winter.
And then I'll want spring to be here.
Though I am getting a lot of knitting done.
So that's nice.

New York Deli

I found these photos on my hard drive from a year or two ago and I thought I'd add them to the list of Richmond restaurant posts!
New York Deli is yet another unique and fun restaurant we have here in RVA.
One of our oldest in fact, it's been around since 1929!
While I've only been a few times, I've always enjoyed it each time I've visited.
Their carrot cake and bruschetta are especially delicious.
Though maybe not together.
My favorite thing though is the authentic photo booth in the back of the restaurant!
The only one we have in Richmond, to my knowledge (those lame ones in the mall don't count).
It definitely adds charm and character to the place.
If you haven't been yet, you need to check it out!
Oh, and when you go make sure you get a window seat.
Cause people watching is fun.
