A Mother & Daughter Session

Meet Susan, Mary Beth and Sara.

You may remember Mary Beth from this post.
Well these other two pretty ladies are her Mom and sister!
Seriously though, can we just take a minute and talk about this photo session?
It's pretty much my favorite family session ever.
I mean hello, cute matching outfits, matching puppies, beautiful weather, fall leaves, and on top of all of that all three of these women are just simply gorgeous.
Pretty much a photographer's dream.
I had such a hard time choosing which photos to share because I really love all of them, so there's a little more than usual for you to look at today.
Enjoy!

A Ship

A good reminder.

Happy December.

Can't believe it's already here.

Can Can Brasserie

I've discovered my new favorite restaurant you guys!
Granted I have been before, but not to eat.
It's one that I've always wanted to try out but just never quite got around to.
Well I finally did and I couldn't be more in love.

Can Can is located in the heart of Carytown and is a french inspired restaurant with some of the most delicious food I've ever eaten!
Seriously, I pretty much had dreams about that quiche afterwards.
And the frites? Most scrumptious I've ever had!
I went for brunch with my Mom and though it was unfortunately not warm enough to have the windows open, we still had a table by them and it was such a lovely atmosphere.
We pretty much got one of everything (almost...) and there wasn't one thing we tried that wasn't amazing.
Minus the mussles.
But that's just because I don't like seafood...

Be Still

A month or two ago I mentioned taking a little road trip up to the mountains by myself.
Of course I am just now getting around to sharing the photos, as is usual with my procrastinating self, but I did want to share them because it was such a great few hours for me.
To just get away for a little while and have a little mini adventure alone and take some time to revel in the beauty of God's creation was just what I needed in the midst of a busy week/month.
During my trip I was reminded of part of a verse, Psalm 46:10, which says:

"Be still, and know that I am God"

I realized how often I failed to do that. How often I let myself get caught up in the stresses and turmoils of every day life and forget, or choose to ignore, that.
To be still in God's presence is something we have to do if we ever want to achieve the peace he promises us. We have to spend time with Him, to talk to Him, to be still with Him.
To sync our heart and minds with His truth.
We need to give God what He wants before He can give us what we want.
I think sometimes it takes us stepping away from our routines and noisy distractions to realize that, and that's okay. I think that's why nature is so beautiful and captivating honestly.
To remind us to be still.
To appreciate what He's created, and how beautiful it is, because it's for us.

Dan & Mary Beth

Meet Dan and Mary Beth.

They celebrated their two year anniversary this Fall and wanted some photos to commemorate the occasion!
Their little family of two has become one of three recently with their sweet little dog Piper, who's pretty much the cutest thing ever. Made me want a dog all over again.
Anyway, we lucked out with the weather and had one of the most gorgeous days for shooting.
Loved spending the afternoon with these two, they're cuties.

Monday

Photo Cred: Meagan Abell

Gearing up for a crazy week.
So much to do and get ready for!
Orders to make, orders to ship, presents to shop for, photos to edit and decorating to do!
Love that Christmas is just around the corner.

What are you up to this week?

Birthdaygrams

I had such a perfectly wonderful Birthday.
I really couldn't have asked for a better one.
I ate more delicious food in four days than I thought was possible, blew out all the candles on three cakes (that wish better come true), celebrated with all of my favorite people, got lots of bunny related gifts (Lewis, don't be jealous), got to wear pretty dresses, read nice cards and notes and feel completely and overwhelmingly spoiled, loved and blessed.
Thanks to everyone who made it a great Birthday.
21 is going to be a great year.
